Amy Kerrane is a UK-based mixed-media artist whose work is a profound exploration of resilience and the transformative power of art.
Based in the UK, Amy Kerrane's practice is deeply rooted in the intersection of lived experience and mixed-media sculpture. Her work is an invitation to explore the resilience found within the human spirit, using expressive textures and artisanal techniques to create pieces that resonate with empathy and strength. After studying art at Trinity School Leamington Spa—where the art block served as a safe haven and her teachers inspired a deep freedom of thought that led her to gain two Art GCSEs early—she took a 20-year hiatus to raise her children. Following life-changing challenges, including surviving meningitis and emergency operations for cauda equina, Amy returned to her creative roots to alchemise these experiences into powerful messages of positivity for others.
She enjoys experimenting with various media, styles, new techniques, texture and use of colour led by intuition, and loves to learn new exciting ways of combining her ideas into each piece.
